Summary:

This position selects test methods, provides training in the use of thesemethods, analyzes and reports data and conclusions, establishes analytical testcriteria and procedures. This person must be familiar with Chemistry andmanufacturing connector (interconnect) technology and testing; must be good withtheir hands and able to perform hands-on equipment repair. The positionentails interfacing with both internal and external customers to discusstesting/analysis requirements and to communicate results and conclusions. Thisrole will interface closely with other laboratory personnel to verify the propermethods and techniques are used, to verify the quality of the data, and toprovide written reports of their work.

This position is onsite in the Harrisburg, PA area. Note that this position isnot eligible for visa sponsorship.

Main Duties: Chemist

Perform resin/polymer analyses using Capillary Rheometer, DSC, FTIR, TGA,and TMA equipment.Moisture absorbance of polymersMaintain Lab polymer libraryContact Porosity tests: Nitric Acid vapor, Gel, Sulfuric Acid vaporManage lab chemical inventory and storageManage water purification systems for the lab

Mixed Flowing Gas Corrosion Environmental Chamber Operation

Gas handling, including, ordering, storage, and connecting to MFG chambersManage gas calibrations and mass flow meters for proper gas concentration inthe chambersChamber/equipment maintenance: gas analyzers, flow meters, permeation tubes,heaters, humidifiers

CT scanner back-up operator

Requirements:

Minimum BS degree in Chemistry3+ year's current experience in a similar environmentExperience/knowledge of polymer analyses techniques and applicable equipmentExperience with electronic and plumbing repairsAdvanced trouble shooting skillsAbility to communicate and write clearlyProficiency with Microsoft Office software.
