The Senior Associate Scientist will join the ocular team at Sanofis Genomic Medicine Unit to provide bench-facing expertise in support of gene therapy programs for ophthalmology indications.

Main Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will
Perform in vitro experiments testing various gene therapy modalities and payloads
Execute and analyze histological experiments to assess biodistribution in the eye (small and large animals)
Design and execute common molecular assays including RNA/DNA/protein assays from cells and tissues
Independently execute, optimize experiments and analyze raw data
Collaborate extensively with internal teams and present results at team meetings and other forums as required
About You
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree with 4+ years relevant lab experience or Masters degree with 2+ years relevant lab experience
Significant expertise with in vitro cell culture assays
Significant expertise in histology assays (RNAscope, basescope, miRscope, immunohistochemistry, multiplexing)
Significant expertise with DNA and RNA isolation from cells and mammalian tissues, luminescence-based assays, PCR, ELISA/Protein Simple Jess Western blot
Experience with viral and nonviral modalities
Experience with automation
Excellent communication skills, enthusiastic and fast learner who pays close attention to detail
Ability to be flexible and pivot with changing priority of pace and projects.

The salary range for this position is:
$73,500.00 - $106,166.66All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK .
