Collaborate within a cross-functional engineering team to innovate next-generation optical transceiver products.
Design, develop, and characterize electrical and control systems for high-speed transmit/receive optical assemblies (TROSA).
Conduct design verification tests to ensure optimal performance of optical devices and modules.
Model high-frequency signal coupling and EMI noise susceptibility, providing solutions to enhance signal integrity.
Act as the primary engineering liaison with PIC, ASIC, and firmware designers for seamless module integration.
Utilize testing equipment such as OSA, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes for device characterization and troubleshooting.
Automate lab processes and data collection using programming languages such as MATLAB and Python.
Communicate findings and project progress effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You have:
M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related discipline
Strong understanding of opto -electronic devices and high-speed optical technology
Experience with high-speed coherent optical device characterization and troubleshooting
Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or VB.net for automation of instrument control
It would be nice if you also had:
Experience with microprocessors and real-time controls
Familiarity with EMI noise susceptibility evaluation methodologies
Hands-on experience in performing automated testing of opto-electronic devices
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across technical teams
