Rockville Biopharm is a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing organization dedicated to producing innovative, high-quality medicines for patients. The Analytical group within the Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT-A) department plays a crucial role in the characterization of late-stage biopharmaceuticals providing comprehensive analytical packages during technology transfer, supporting new process development as well as manufacturing sites critical investigations.
We are seeking highly skilled and scientifically driven professionals to join our team and contribute to our mission of advancing biopharmaceutical science and improving patient outcomes.
Basic qualifications:
- BS/BA in Life science, chemistry, engineering or equivalent technical discipline
- 4+ years working experience in the industry
Preferred qualifications:
- Design, develop, optimize, and qualify LC, LC-MS, LC-MS/MS and other analytical methods to assess protein product identity and primary and higher order structures, characterize degradation pathways, and monitor critical quality attributes (CQAs) as needed.
- Familiar with advanced and complicate sample preparation with automation; capable to evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance analytical capabilities.
- Rapidly adopt the existing methodologies to perform various characterization analysis to support key projects.
- Interpret and present complex analytical (especially mass spec) data, prepare scientific technical report and SOP independently.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support urgent requests, conduct root cause analyses, and maintain operational sustainability.
- Proficiency with various software for analytical data analysis and Microsoft office
- Maintain good lab documentation and ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
- Experience with protein analysis by HPLC, Mass Spectrometry, Capillary Electrophoresis, or other techniques
- Working in a GXP environment
- Familiar with Thermo mass spectrometry instruments

The annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $77,550 to $129,250 taking into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidates skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role.
