What You'll Be Working On You will support the development, optimization, and maintenance of scalable and robust manufacturing & service processes. Reporting to the Quality Lead, youllbe responsible for ensuring a smooth production flow at our contract manufacturers (CMs), improving internal workflows, and supporting product quality. You will collaborate cross-functionally with product development, manufacturing, quality, and service teams to drive continuous improvement.

This position will start as a 6-month temporary contract and be based at the companys headquarters, located in San Carlos, CA. The expected salary range for this role is between $80,000 - $100,000 Core Responsibilities
  • Process Development & Optimization: Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, yield, and throughput. Partner with CMs to roll out process changes and validate effectiveness via first article builds and pilot runs. Partner withEngineering to contribute to DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and Design for Serviceability practices.
  • Work Instructions & Documentation: Create and maintain clear, visual work instructions, process flow diagrams, and SOPs. Collaborate with Quality to ensure documentation meets regulatory and company standards
  • Internal Workflow Improvement: Lead internal process improvement projects (e.g., assembly station layout, test station setup, lean initiatives).Support implementation of basic inventory management systems and internal traceability tools.
  • Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and resolve process-related issues in production and post-market field returns. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Support for Quality & Testing: Assist with quality data collection, process capability studies, and test method validation. Collaborate with Quality, Service and Testing teams to ensure line readiness and defect prevention.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 12 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or process engineering preferred.
  • Familiarity with contract manufacturing, lean manufacturing, and process validation is a plus.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced hardware startup environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in tools like Excel and other documentation software.
