Client Overview:
Our client is a leading and growing consumer goods company. Their team is now looking for a Lab Technician (In Vitro and Ex Vivo).
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$16.40/hr
Position Overview:
The Lab Technician (In Vitro and Ex Vivo) candidate must be detail-oriented and motivated in conducting in vitro and ex vivo performance testing on raw ingredients and finished consumer products. This role involves maintaining human cell and tissue cultures, executing biological assays, and supporting product development through scientific analysis.
Responsibilities of the Lab Technician (In Vitro and Ex Vivo):
- Perform in vitro and ex vivo testing to evaluate raw materials and final product performance.
- Maintain and treat human cell/tissue cultures following established protocols.
- Conduct biological assays, including but not limited to cell viability and biomarker quantification.
- Analyze experimental data, perform basic statistical analysis, and compile test summaries and technical reports.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and contribute to ongoing research initiatives.
Required Experience/Skills for the Lab Technician (In Vitro and Ex Vivo):
- Hands-on experience (minimum 1 year) in a laboratory setting.
- Proficient in cell culture techniques, pipetting, media preparation, and microscopy.
- Familiarity with cell-based assays and laboratory best practices.
- Strong computer skills, including Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Lab Technician (In Vitro and Ex Vivo):
- Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience.
- Ability to follow SOPs and maintain accurate documentation.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
