The Associate Scientist, Oncology Discovery will join a drug discovery team located in Spring House, PA developing groundbreaking and best-in-class therapeutics for the treatment of prostate cancer. They will be a key contributor towards advancing research programs through various stages of preclinical drug discovery. This is a laboratory-based position requiring effective and frequent collaboration with colleagues within the oncology group and other various functional groups across the organization. This position requires versatility, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute sophisticated in vitro experiments, and interpret data for the validation and characterization of new therapeutic agents and targets
Support the generation of comprehensive and well-designed pre-clinical data packages in support of various programs, including for IND readiness for First-In-Human (FIH) studies
Routinely perform cell biology techniques. Experience in cell culture, Incucyte-based assays, flow cytometry/FACS, handling of immune cells isolated from whole blood and/or tissues, CRISPR gene knockout and Lentiviral transduction of stable cell lines, characterization of cell lines by western blotting/qPCR/etc, MesoScale, Luminex, ELISAs, other functional assays, etc. is needed.
Analyze, prepare, and present data to internal stakeholders and project teams
Work independently and perform multiple experiments simultaneously
Contribute to various projects outside of their own, and collaborate with team members from all relevant functions
Keep up-to-date with the literature related to the field of prostate cancer
Demonstrate clear and professional verbal and written communication
Required:
An M.S. with at least 2 years of relevant experience or a B.S. with at least 3 years of relevant experience, performing progressively advanced duties at the Associate Scientist level, or the equivalent training/experience
Strong cell biology and assay development skills are required
A robust background in cancer biology and immunology required
Previous experience screening and characterizing biologic or small molecule leads
Proficiency with software such as GraphPad Prism, FlowJo, and Microsoft Office is required
Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
Intellectually curious and well-informed about the latest scientific advances in the field is preferred.
Demonstration of creativity and novel approaches to solving scientific problems is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with others, internally and externally, is preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to effectively present scientific data and concepts diverse audiences is preferred.
This role is located in Spring House, PA.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $74,000 to $134,000.

Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year
