Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-driven Quality Control Technician to join our team on second shift. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our printed labels meet rigorous internal and customer expectations through visual inspection, documentation, and process audits. You'll also support ISO compliance, internal training, and quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Process Inspection

• Conduct visual and camera-based inspections of printed materials and finished products.
• Ensure all materials meet internal standards and customer specifications.
• Perform random WIP job ticket and print quality reviews.
• Conduct proof-to-print sample comparisons at sign-off.

Documentation & Compliance

• Generate and issue Certificates of Conformance for all completed job tickets.
• Maintain accurate records of internal non-conformances and inspection results.
• Document instances where ordered quantity is not met and communicate non-conforming product issues.
• Maintain all production retains per QMS standards.

Continuous Improvement

• Assist with investigations into quality complaints and support RCCA (Root Cause/Corrective Action) processes.
• Proactively suggest process improvements to reduce waste and ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Contribute to training efforts and promote a culture of quality awareness across production.

Team Support

• Collaborate closely with press operators, finishing teams, and leadership to resolve issues in real time.
• Sign off on large-format shipments.
• Complete any additional quality-related responsibilities as requested by management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience or education in quality control or related field
• High school diploma or equivalent required; quality certification preferred
• Experience in printing, packaging, or manufacturing environments (flexo, screen, digital a plus)
• Strong computer proficiency; Label Traxx experience is a plus
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
• Sharp attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced production setting
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
• Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment
