Software Development Engineer, Amazon GameLift Streams

Amazon GameLift Streams helps developers stream games at up to 1080p resolution and 60 frames-per-second to any device with a browser. Using AWSs global footprint and game-optimized GPU instances, publishers can deploy and stream game content in minutes, without modifications, and players can start gaming in seconds without perceivable lag or having to wait for installs.

You will be expected to work on real-time game streaming, building customer centric features. You will have an opportunity to impact the customer experience and implementation of technology on GameLift Streams.

Key job responsibilities
As a developer on our team, youll own code end-to-end from design to production readiness, and work closely with senior technical leaders within the team and across AWS. Youll have a sound understanding of computer science fundamentals and practical industry experience, working across the stack with technology involving AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, APIGateway, WebRTC, UDP, and React.

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
