A Chemical Engineer is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Boise, ID area. The Process UPW Lead serves as the Owner's Representative overseeing ultrapure water system design, review, and installation for semiconductor manufacturing facilities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.

responsibilities:
- Serve as the UPW Engineering Owner's Representative for client projects.
- Work closely with client owners and multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Review designs, specifications, and construction documents; provide feedback and comments.
- Oversee design and interface for UPW equipment including filtration, heating, cooling, exhaust, and process chemicals/gases.
- Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing, selection, and specification.
- Support retrofit projects for existing building systems to accommodate tool installations.
- Collaborate with A&E firms, company design staff, client equipment owners, researchers, and equipment manufacturers.
- Develop utility requirement documents for installation design packages.
- Provide technical training and quality checks on designs.
- Assist with complex portions of the design process.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- 7+ years of practical experience in ultrapure water (UPW) facilities and equipment engineering.
- 5+ years experience with design project delivery processes.
- 3+ years experience working with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools (manufacture, installation, or use in cleanrooms).
- Proficient in AutoCAD software.

- PE license not required.
