Position Description:
Prep analysis of waste/wastewater samples. This position is integral to properly evaluating and complying with the facility's waste analysis plan. This person will be responsible for performing onsite laboratory and testing procedures. They will determine acceptable waste streams and work closely with operations to ensure proper processing. We value this position as part of our facility operations team and are accountable for high-quality standards and safe working conditions.
Responsibilities:
Calibrate all laboratory equipment each morning.
Analyze and record all incoming samples and record results, hard copy and in the computer system.
Analyze and complete bench study (treatability) on each incoming load, to include new samples.
Analyze materials received and compare to the profile.
Maintain all lab equipment: GC, ICP, FOG and Flash testing
Evaluate new samples to determine treatability; keep the laboratory clean and orderly
Assist with laboratory projects that improve cost, quality, efficiency, or other general process improvements.
Requirements:
Education:
2-year Chemistry degree related OR 4-year Science degree related
At least three years of experience preferred
MS Suite experience is required
Experience working with non-hazardous and hazardous waste.
Work Environment:
Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions
Moderate to high noise Level
Outside weather conditions
Protective Equipment Required:
