The Opportunity
Mays Chemical is looking for a driven and knowledgeable Sales Professional with a Food Science background to support and grow our footprint in the food, beverage, dairy, nutrition, and supplement markets.
This role is ideal for someone who blends technical know-how with commercial hustle, and who thrives on working closely with customers to deliver smart, science-backed solutions.
What You'll Do
Grow revenue by deepening existing accounts and sourcing new customers
Sell across industries: Functional Foods, Dairy, Confectionery, Nutrition, Vitamins & Supplements
Be a trusted advisor-translate customer needs into product solutions
Lead the full sales cycle: prospect, quote, close, and follow up
Build lasting, multi-level relationships (Procurement, R&D, QA, Marketing, etc.)
Identify emerging trends and bring new opportunities to the table
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and supplier partners
Represent Mays at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or Business (or related field)
3+ years of sales experience with specialty ingredients for food/beverage/dairy manufacturers
Knowledge of vitamin applications, dosing, and pre-blend strategies
Strong grasp of nutritional ingredients and technical selling
Clear, confident communicator with solid negotiation skills
CRM-savvy and proficient with Microsoft Office tools
Willingness to travel throughout the U.S. and Canada

At the Heart of Your Life
Raf Van Gorp founded Ravago in 1961 when he had the opportunity to buy the premises of a dynamite company in Arendonk, Belgium. This enabled him to work out the luminous idea he had: recycling production waste from the plastics producing petrochemical companies.
From there, Ravago grew into a comprehensive service provider to the petrochemical industry, constantly pushing the boundaries of plastics applications and bringing the (re)use of plastics to the next level, with sustainability continuously on our mind. Over the years, the ambition of global expansion and market leadership in polymer and chemical distribution, recycling and compounding, and building materials became a reality.
