General Statement
Great Falls College is a small two-year college located in Great Falls, Montana. The chemistry lab technician position at Great Falls College supports chemistry instructors and students in 100-level coursework. No teaching is involved; the lab tech assists in preparing labs. maintaining and inventorying equipment and supplies and assisting in answering student questions. Most students are pursuing their general education AA or AS degree, an applied associate in healthcare, or planning to transfer to a 4-vear university.
This position is for 15 hours per week when classes are in session.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee chemistry lab operations.
Maintain chemistry lab inventory.
Assist chemistry lab instructor in answering student chem lab questions.
Required Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Associate degree or higher with some chemistry coursework.
Record-keeping skills.
Ability to work independently.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Bachelor's degree with some chemistry coursework.

This position is part-time temporary, 15 hours/week when classes are in session.
