Associate Design Development Engineer Associate Design Development Engineers are responsible for the development of print and email documents, formatting assets using HTML and data-merging software, and multimedia campaign creation such as email, interactive voice broadcasting, and SMS campaigns. Our internal software leverages graphic design skills such as typography, page layout and image formatting with Adobe Suite products in conjunction with conditional logic for data mapping and vendor programming languages such as Python, HTML, or JavaScript. The willingness to learn conditional logic, coding languages, and new software is vital for success in this role. They will be working on various aspects of multiple projects simultaneously. They will establish relationships intra and interdepartmentally in a remote environment. This is a remote position. Associate Design Development Engineer Responsibilities Prepare, create, launch, verify, and oversee email campaign creation through to completion. Develop documents for both digital and print noticing using Adobe design software; format assets to meet strict style guidelines, industry policies, and best practices. Develop multimedia notice campaigns for interactive voice broadcasting and SMS using vendor software. Create dynamic data merges using tools such as HTML, Adobe software, and internal vendor programming languages. Discuss client needs and requirements with various internal stakeholders. Present technical material in an understandable manner to technical/non-technical audiences and decision-makers. Learn and adhere to Design Operations' development workflows and processes. Appropriately escalate roadblocks. Associate Design Development Engineer Qualifications 2 years of academic or practical work experience in email marketing, and/or InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat. 1 to 2 years hands-on experience with the following: Front and backend development for email campaigns. Windows platform and Microsoft Office. Adobe Software. Typesetting and layout design practices. Maintaining accuracy throughout an iterative development process and working under a deadline. Proven demonstrated ability to follow regimented instructions while learning new software. Proven demonstrated ability to track complex details. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; able to adjust for intended audience. Desired Qualifications Any hands-on experience with the following is not required but would be preferred: Mail merges or integrating data with print. Designing for the web. Handling confidential/sensitive company information such as HIPAA or financial data. Technical or development-related experience with HTML, SQL queries, Python, JavaScript, CSV or XML data.
