Environmental Scientist

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Environmental Scientist, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and contributing to the success of various projects. You will prepare essential reports, manage projects, and conduct field surveys, all while working in a supportive and flexible environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare NJDEP required reports, forms, and associated submittals, including remedial investigations, remedial action reports, site assessments, and characterizations.
• Ensure compliance with NJDEP regulatory and mandatory time frames.
• Independently complete Phase I and Phase II surveys, sampling, and reporting.
• Manage projects, including sampling plans, remediation design, and budgeting.

• Environmental compliance

• Groundwater sampling
• Soil sampling
• NJDEP Report Writing (RAR, RIR, SIA, CEA)
• 5-10 years of experience in the remediation industry
• Experience within the oil and gas industry

• Degree(s) in Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• Extensive experience and knowledge/understanding of NJDEP rules, regulations, and guidance documents
• Strong verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills
• At least 5 years of experience in environmental investigation and remediation
• Ability to commute to the specified location in New Jersey

This position offers flexibility with up to 3 days of remote work per week after demonstrating capability to perform duties independently. You will work in an office environment alongside 14 individuals with diverse environmental skillsets and administrative support. The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $52.88/hr.
