Looking to support continuous improvement projects within an industrial manufacturing environment? We have an immediate opening for a Project/Process Engineer to support a variety of improvement projects within an industrial manufacturing plant.
Here's a taste of what you'll be doing:
- Maintains overall understanding of process capability & capacity.
- Updating P&IDs, performing pipe stress analysis, and sizing any equipment (valves, pumps, etc)
- Identifies and defines requirements for process improvement / productivity projects.
- Develops process engineering packages for new products or equipment (FEL 1 studies) with external support (R&D and Process Technology).
- Identify, develop, implement, and provide technical resources and guidance to assure completion of approved cost reduction and quality improvement projects.
- Perform environmental, ISO, and safety audits.
- Executes and tracks productivity projects.
- Supports troubleshooting long term process / production issues.
- Ensures usage of process related best practices & standards.
- Conduct plant trials for new products and support development work.
- Develops process narratives and process control support to ensure process/quality variations are minimized.
- Provides statistical data analysis for RCAs.
- Conducts regulatory compliance calculations, reporting and interfacing.
- Participates in safety programs and initiatives.
- Ensure that the manufacturing processes can be operated in a safe and stable manner.
- Participate in the site's safety program.
- Lead and/or participate in process control, variation reduction and waste reduction projects.
- Conduct capacity optimization projects of existing processes.
- Lead new product introduction scale-up from R&I.
- Lead new process start-up and commissioning.
- Conducts Commissioning and Startup Activities.
- Participates in plant inspections and walkthroughs.
You'll be a perfect fit if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical or chemical).
- Minimum (5) yrs. experience as a Process Engineer within the industrial manufacturing market sectors including Chemical, Food/Beverage, Power Generation, etc.
- Ability to interpret, redline P&IDs.
- Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of design and regulatory Codes and Standards.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
