Analytical Scientist
(2-month Contract)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a contract Mid-Level Analytical Scientist to support protein analytical method execution efforts for proteins. This role is based in Hudson, Ohio , and is ideal for a scientist with practical experience in ELISA, protein assays, SDS-PAGE, and HPLC , and who can contribute to drafting Module 3 (Quality) sections for regulatory submissions. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform analytical testing of protein-based drug substances using:

• ELISA (quantitative immunoassays)
• Protein concentration assays (e.g., BCA)
• SDS-PAGE and Western blot
• HPLC methods (SEC, RP-HPLC, etc.)

• Compile and interpret analytical data, prepare technical reports
• Maintain detailed lab notebooks and data packages compliant with industry standards
• Collaborate with in-house and remote team members on development and regulatory activities
• Contribute to continuous Quality & procedure improvement

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field
• 36 years of experience in analytical development or related lab work
• Hands-on experience with protein characterization assays and HPLC techniques
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently in a hybrid setting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with ICH guidelines and GMP/GLP principles
• Experience working in a small company or startup environment
