The Scientist I for Cytiva is responsible for the research & development efforts in characterization of membranes for Life Science Applications.

This position is part of the Filtration R&D located in Pensacola, Florida and will be on-site. Our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

  • Design and execute customer-focused tests essential for the robust evaluation of membranes.
  • Develop foundational test methodologies for membrane characterization under direct supervision.
  • Perform critical membrane analyses, including precise measurements of protein retention, fouling studies, water flux and pore size.
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams to advance new technologies, drive product innovation, support sustainability initiatives, and solve complex technical challenges.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by proactively identifying process and quality gaps, escalating issues, and recommending actionable solutions.

Who you are:

  • A Bachelor, with degree in chemistry, material science, or polymer science.
  • 1+ years industrial experience.
  • Possess understanding of polymer chemistry and material science.
  • Previous experience or basic understanding of filtration applications.
  • Problem-solving attitude and basic data analysis skills.
