Job Description




An exciting opportunity for a dedicated Scientist to perform hands-on research supporting cutting-edge scientific discovery within skin biology. Working closely with Project Leaders and Senior Scientists, you will execute key laboratory experiments to drive the development of novel solutions and insights.

location: Clark, New Jersey
job type: Contract
salary: $30 - 35 per hour
work hours: 9 to 5
education: Bachelors

responsibilities:
  • Conduct in vitro experiments on 2D cells, 3D reconstructed skin or ex vivo human skin
  • Micro-dissection of human skin biopsies
  • Conduct immunohistochemistry experiments and biological assays
  • Work cross functionally with analytical teams and formulators in order to design and run experiments.
  • Manage, collect, analyze, summarize, upload to internal databases and report high quality data in a timely manner
  • Manage laboratory operations in terms of ordering, organizing and supply managements

qualifications:
Required:

  • MS degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences or related fields
  • Minimum of 2 year hands-on experience in a laboratory setting with immunofluorescence, IHC and PCR methods
  • Experience in culturing and setting up test systems using human keratinocytes and fibroblasts
  • Experience with tissue culture and sterile technique
  • Experience conducting general ELISA assays
  • Experience in microscopy imaging techniques is required
  • Experience handling human tissue samples is a plus
  • Ability to design antibody panels for multi-color flow cytometry
  • Proficient in writing function SOPs/Working Practices
  • Strong communication, presentation and project management skills
  • Must be self motivated and collaborative
Preferred:

  • Understanding of skin and skin appendage morphologies is a plus
  • Knowledge of skin wound healing biology is a plus
  • Basic understanding of next-generation sequencing technologies is a plus
