Working as part of a cross-functional team you lead the R&D activities required to complete new product development and maintain portfolios and/or productivity projects keeping in mind the goal to deliver the desired consumer experience.
How you will contribute
Lead and support key innovation and renovation projects across our Cookies and Crackers portfolio. This role requires a strong foundation in food science, deep understanding of Idea to Marker (I2M) process and proven ability to drive projects from concept through commercialization in collaboration with cross functional partners.

- Independently manage assigned projects, ensuring alignment with brand strategy, timelines and technical feasibility.
- Serve as the technical lead for product development, including formulation, design, scale-up and qualifications plan.
- Partnering with Marketing, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, and Procurement to bring ideas to market successfully.
- Driving consumer-centricity as the focus of everything we do.
- Effectively influencing cross-functional stakeholders verbally and in writing, including writing technical report conclusions

Drive excellence in Project Management
Plan and execute work plans, including development of timelines, risk assessments and contingency plans
Analyze results of experiments and translate them into actionable recommendations with minimal guidance and support
Have strong knowledge of the commercialization process
Identify and efficiently utilize necessary resources to achieve timely delivery of project objectives
Possess a strong understanding of the functional characteristics of ingredients, packaging materials, and process unit operations, including how they impact finished products to meet consumer expectations.
Education / Certifications:
BS in Food Science, Chemical Engineering or related field
Job specific requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in the food industry.
Strong technical foundation and a high level of technical curiosity.
Ability to develop and drive technical project with proper scientific rigor: conduct appropriate testing, gather and analyze data, and develop recommendations based on findings.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and manage complexity- from bench top to execution.
Participate in cross functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to effectively communicate to all levels within the organization
Travel requirements:
Travel up to 30%, to locations in Canada, US, and Mexico.
Work schedule:
This is a full-time role based in East Hanover, NJ with in-office expectations of 2-3 days per week.
The base salary range for this position is $83,800 to $115,225; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
