Project Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our team, focusing on the discovery, evaluation, development, and integration of advanced manufacturing and process technologies. This role requires a collaborative individual who can work effectively with R&D, Engineering, and Operations teams to identify needs and target opportunities for new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Discover, evaluate, develop, and integrate advanced manufacturing and process technologies.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Operations teams to identify needs and opportunities for new technology.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or product issues as they arise.
  • Align internal capabilities with industry trends by evaluating customer needs.
  • Supervise or conduct experiments, including design of experiments, scientific method, data collection/analysis, and drawing conclusions from data.
  • Troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve equipment, quality, or product issues.
  • Manage project activities related to process improvement and capital equipment.
  • Perform data analysis and drive process improvement.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience implementing and developing new technology, machinery, or processes.
  • Capital equipment oversight, including vendor visits, specification discussions, system integration, commissioning, and installation.
  • Programming experience in languages such as MatLab, Visual Basic, C#, C++, or others.
  • BS degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, chemical) or physical science (chemistry, polymer science, physics, material science).
  • Must be a US Citizen per export and ITAR regulations.
Work Environment

This role will split its time between the manufacturing floor (60%) and the office (40%). The position involves extensive interaction with various departments (R&D, Operations, Engineering) and regular collaboration with technicians on the floor. The role requires hands-on involvement in conducting experiments as well as delegating experiments to other team members.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
