Key Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of clinical laboratory tests with precision, adhering to regulatory and procedural standards.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of test results by following quality control and assurance protocols.
- Conduct regular maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective communication of lab findings.
- Monitor inventory and supply levels to support uninterrupted lab operations.
- Contribute to ongoing education and mentorship efforts by demonstrating laboratory methods to peers and new team members.
- Support departmental projects aimed at improving lab operations, safety, and diagnostic impact.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field; or equivalent experience (4+ years above minimum qualifications).
- Experience: Less than one year of post-graduate lab experience required; new grads with certification are encouraged to apply.
- Certification: Must hold one or more valid certifications from one of the following organizations:
- American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
- American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- American Board of Histocompatibility (ABHI)
- American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB)
- Or be a grandfathered HEW licensee
- Strong technical skills in laboratory protocols, critical thinking, and statistical analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Proficiency with lab-related software and electronic health systems.
- Solid understanding of infection control and lab safety practices.
