- Lead formulation projects from concept through completion with minimal oversight.
- Resolve formulation and scale-up challenges independently.
- Serve as a technical liaison with customers, addressing regulatory and performance-related topics.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in product development.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through raw material optimization.
- Oversee scale-up processes and define critical manufacturing parameters.
- Troubleshoot production issues and manage batch inconsistencies.
- Establish product specifications and author compounding procedures.
- Supervise pilot batch production and coordinate lab activities.
- Submit documentation for new formulas and raw materials to operations and QC.
- Conduct raw material research and vendor evaluations.
- Draft and review ingredient lists, QQs, and packaging artwork.
- Analyze lab results, assess risks, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Stay informed on market trends and emerging formulation technologies.
- Mentor and train lab personnel.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
- Expertise in advanced formulation techniques and regulatory compliance (FDA, cGMP).
- Strong innovation and strategic thinking in product development.
- Ability to translate consumer insights into actionable product features.
- Skilled in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of formulation experience.
- OR an advanced degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Preferred: Masters or PhD in a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in personal care product formulation.
This role operates in a GMP laboratory, providing a dynamic and growth-oriented environment. The laboratory is focused on advancing personal care formulations with adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices.
