We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Lab Scientist to join a high-performing clinical laboratory team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive blood bank experience and technical expertise in various lab methodologies and systems. This role is crucial to supporting diagnostic accuracy and patient care by performing complex laboratory testing in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a wide range of testing with a focus on blood bank procedures
Operate and troubleshoot instruments such as Ortho Vision
Utilize Epic and WellSky systems for lab reporting and documentation
Apply Gel Methodology in routine and specialized testing
Ensure quality control and compliance with laboratory standards
Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous process improvement
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of blood bank experience
Proficiency with Ortho Vision, Epic, and WellSky systems
Hands-on experience with Gel Methodology
Valid MLS(ASCP) or BB(ASCP) certification required
Bachelor's degree in a science-related field OR
Associate Degree in Laboratory Science from an accredited program with certification/eligibility (ASCP, AMT, etc.)
OR undergraduate degree in biology, chemistry, or nursing with successful completion of a medical laboratory technician trainee program
Must complete at least 12 continuing education credits annually
MLT (ASCP) certification preferred
Shift Details:
Nights: 9:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Full-time, 40 hours/week
Rotating weekends and holidays required
Local Pay Rate: $50/hr
