Duties & Responsibilities- Conduct research on culture of microorganisms and fungi for (a) biostabilization of mine tailings to improve tailings dam stability and control tailings dust, and (b) bioleaching of mine tailings to recover critical minerals.
- Conduct research to evaluate existing methods for mine tailings dust control currently used in practice.
- Conduct research on reuse of mine tailings as sustainable construction materials.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
- PhD in Biogeomechanics, sustainable construction materials, or related fields upon hire.
