Job Title: R&D Chemist
Job Description
The R&D Chemist role involves specializing in advanced analyses, developing or modifying testing methods, and presenting findings to various audiences and segments. This position requires strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with an emphasis on collaboration with field sales in both lumber and farm & forest segments.
Responsibilities
- Investigate customer/sales factors for formula design and other technical elements, including integration with field trial activities primarily for established portfolios.
- Perform complex chemical tests using various instruments and techniques.
- Conduct field stability studies and assess the performance of formulations under various conditions, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of formulation processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare monthly reports on projects/initiatives, comparing results against expected performance metrics.
Essential Skills
- Expertise in Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry.
- Proficiency in Wet Chemistry, R&D, and Laboratory Formulation.
- Experience in Research and Development, Technical Services, and Quality Control.
- Skilled in HPLC, GCMS, Gas Chromatography, and Chromatography techniques.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Several years of laboratory experience in a technical product environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Proficient in chemical testing techniques and relevant software.
Work Environment
The work will be conducted in the R&D section of the facility, with occasional collaboration with the quality lab. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
Will provide company benefits for candidates as needed.
