QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN

Advanced Construction Robotics, Inc. of Allison Park, PA has an opening for a full-time Quality Assurance Technician to assist the engineering team fabricate and test the mechanical, electrical, and software systems for the existing and future fleet of autonomous robot construction machines. The candidate will be expected to contribute to the mechanical design process as well as review, assemble, and test completed designs. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating with the engineering and assembly teams to execute the timely fabrication and assembly of new robot builds. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN

In this role, you assist the engineering team by testing new features, components, and product prototypes during the product development phase ahead of release. You spend some of your time reviewing and executing tests, coordinating test setups, logging issues and discrepancies found during testing, and occasionally performing the initial triage of certain issues. You will support engineering, acting as a resource for assisting development teams maintaining ACRs quality standards in our product lines. At times, you will also assist in working with our Service and Support team on tickets as they relate to newly released features. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN

  • Certificate, Associate, or Bachelor from a technical or trade program

  • 5+ years of experience in equivalent role

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel

  • Responsibilities:

  • Travel to our local test facility as needed to build operational familiarity with our products

  • Reviewing test procedures for errors, inconsistencies, and completeness

  • Execute test procedures, working with stakeholders to ensure thorough requirements-based testing of new product designs

  • Effective communication of discrepancies noted during product development testing

  • Performing level 1 triage, documentation, and data capture of issues found during testing

  • Required Skills:

  • Accurate reporting, tracking, and initial triage of issues found during testing

  • Ability to consistently execute test procedures on new hardware and software features

  • Familiarity with product lifecycle support release cycles for integrated hardware and software development

  • Ability to use commercial and internally developed utilities for gathering supporting data on discrepancies found during testing

  • Preferred/Optional Skills:

  • Atlassian Jira/Confluence, formal testing tools such as X-Ray and Test Rail

  • Experience performing basic analysis of test data to prepare it for engineering review

  • Experience performing basic analysis of test discrepancy data to suggest initial areas of investigation by engineers

  • Ability to assist service and support teams on initial issue triage and known issue correlation when tickets are escalated to engineering

  • US work authorization, no visa sponsorship of any kind is available
