Quality Control Technician-QC line
**Reports to:** QA Manager
**Hourly pay:** $16-$17/hr + OT, DOE.
May be required to work weekends.
**Shift:** 12-hr
-- 2^nd^ shift 7pm-7am
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a **Quality Control Technician** to join our team at our **organic juice manufacturing facility** located in **Mineral Wells, TX**. This role is responsible for ensuring product quality by inspecting packaging, labelling, coding, fill level, country of origin and best by date markings. The technician will have the authority to stop the production line if defects increase so correction actions can be implemented.
In addition, this position will complete all necessary documentation related to quality control activities related to this control and inspection. This position also supports other QC functions, including incoming tanker juice inspections, by performing visual, analytical, and organoleptic tests.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Inspect **packaging, labels, production codes, and best-by dates** for accuracy and defects.
- Monitor quality trends and take corrective action, including **stopping the production line** when necessary.
- Document all **QC findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions**.
- Assist in the **inspection of incoming tanker juice**, performing **visual, analytical, and sensory evaluations**.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to maintain **high-quality standards**.
- Maintain a **clean and organized** work environment.
- Follow **all safety, food safety, and regulatory guidelines**.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
- **High attention to detail** to identify defects and inconsistencies.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to **stand for long periods** and **lift up to 50 lbs**.
- Comfortable working in **extreme temperature conditions** (cold and heat).
- Excellent **communication and teamwork skills**.
- **Punctuality and reliability** are essential.
- Previous experience in **quality control, food manufacturing, or a related field** is preferred.
**Work Environment:**
- Manufacturing facility with **extended standing periods**.
- Exposure to **cold storage areas and hot production environments**.
- A fast-paced, physically demanding environment requires **close attention to detail**.
