As a member of the CMS team, you'll gain hands-on experience using the latest technology and tools to tackle meaningful environmental work. Responsibilities : Conduct field inspections of erosion and sediment control measures on commercial, residential, industrial, and highway construction projects in Chattanooga and the greater Southeast Tennessee region. Perform field investigations, take field notes, document site conditions, and write clear, concise inspection reports. Manage client relationships and communicate daily with contractors and project managers. Review and update Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) for construction sites. Depending on your background, assist with environmental compliance tasks related to NPDES, CERCLA, RCRA, hydrology, or geotechnical assessments. Qualifications and Skills : B.S. or B.A. in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent field experience will also be considered. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to pursue professional certification or licensing. Preferred certifications (not required): CISEC or CPESC, or eligibility to sit for certification exams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to apply integrity, critical thinking, and sound scientific judgment to meet client needs while adhering to regulations.
