Chemist I

We are seeking a Chemist I to join our product development team, responsible for supporting the formulation and testing of innovative products. This role plays a key part in ensuring product stability, performance, and compliance with specifications. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on formulation experience, preferably within the cosmetics industry, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects. Key Responsibilities Complete product formulas (batching) and ensure they meet targeted specifications. Monitor and follow up on the stability of formulas and recommend or implement adjustments when needed. Perform in vitro testing to evaluate product performance and quality. Modify formulations to meet product, regulatory, or client specifications. Provide creative and resourceful solutions to technical issues encountered during development. Manage and maintain a minimum of five active projects concurrently. Collaborate with team members across R D, regulatory, and production departments. Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, test results, and formulation changes. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a science-related field (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering). Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the cosmetics or personal care industry. Demonstrated experience in formulation and batching. Strong computer literacy, including familiarity with formulation software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. A collaborative, team-oriented approach and a positive attitude are essential. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in cosmetic R D or product testing. Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards. Certifications (if any) None required, though additional lab safety or regulatory training is a plus. Education: Bachelors Degree
