Zoetis, Inc. As a bioinformatics expert, this role focuses on driving innovation in vaccine biology by developing and applying advanced computational approaches to identify, quantify, and validate vaccine candidates. The position provides mechanistic insights into host-pathogen interactions through multi-omics data analysis and visualization, bridging complex datasets with actionable biological findings for bench scientists. Core responsibilities include managing and analyzing large-scale omics datasets (e.g., genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics), performing genome assembly and variant detection, and conducting systems biology and pathway analyses. The role also involves integrating multi-omics data, leveraging machine learning techniques for routine analytics, and creating automated pipelines for omics data processing and mining. A key focus is on characterizing viral genomes and viral vectors, studying mutational dynamics, and assessing viral integration using advanced sequencing technologies. This work supports vaccine challenge models, preclinical safety assessments, and the development of diagnostic assays. As a vital contributor to vaccine research, the scientist will design and implement tools for data visualization, enabling seamless communication of insights to internal teams and external stakeholders through reports, presentations, and publications. This position plays a critical role in advancing vaccine development programs by transforming high dimensional data into biological knowledge that drives the discovery and validation of novel vaccine candidates. Presenting research findings and insights to both internal and external stakeholders through presentations, technical reports, and scientific publications. Salary: $115,253.00-$125,000.00.
