Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and motivated Scientist II/III to join our Cancer Immunology & Immune Modulation (CI & IM) Research Group located at our Ridgefield, CT facility. The successful candidate will actively contribute to the identification and validation of novel IM therapeutic concepts, and to the development of novel and differentiated clinical candidates (both large and small molecules) for immunological diseases.

Duties & Responsibilities\:
- Conduct experiments aimed at target identification and validation using molecular and cellular immunological approaches
- Design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments independently and efficiently
- Analyze data and effectively communicate results
- Keep abreast of relevant literature and technologies to expand scientific/technical knowledge
- Collaborate with members of IM and other departments (i.e. Inflammation & Respiratory; Cancer Immunology) when required to support project advancement and decision making
- Prepare and deliver internal scientific presentations and reports as needed
- Operate and maintain lab equipment
- Comply with applicable regulations, performing all work in a safe manner
- Maintain proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies.
Scientist II Requirements \:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution with three-plus (3+) years of experience in related scientific discipline or Masters Degree from an accredited institution in related scientific discipline or equivalent experience in related field
- Must have good understanding of basic scientific principles and research practices in the field of immunology
- Prior research experience in molecular and immunological techniques such as cell isolation, immunophenotyping, ELISA/Luminex/MSD, tissue culture, flow cytometry and/or RT-qPCR
- Experienced in data analysis data, interpretation of results, troubleshooting, and solving technical issues
- Experience with in vitro or in vivo model systems to evaluate immune cell function is preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computers and data analysis software
- Ability and willingness to work effectively in a highly collaborative research environment
Scientist III Requirements\:
- Masters Degree from an accredited institution with three-plus (3+) years of experience in related scientific discipline, OR Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution with seven-plus (7+) years of experience in related scientific discipline or equivalent experience in related field
- Must have good understanding of basic scientific principles and research practices in the field of immunology
- Proficient in a variety of molecular and immunological techniques/technologies such as cell isolation, immunophenotyping, ELISA/Luminex/MSD, tissue culture, flow cytometry and/or RT-qPCR.
- Prior research experience in assay development/optimization is desirable
- Experience with in vitro or in vivo model systems to evaluate immune cell function is preferred.
- Proficiency in data analysis data, interpretation of results, troubleshooting, and solving technical issues independently
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computers and experience with data analysis software
- Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative research environment
Eligibility Requirements\:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
