Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Chemist to assist the Lab Supervisor in organizing and maintaining quality control systems and audits. This role serves as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting quality issues within the plant and quality team, performing quality control tests and analyses, and interpreting analytical findings to assess compliance with chemical standards. The Chemist will also report findings to leadership, perform Quality Assurance Technician duties, communicate with contract customers, develop and validate low-level active ingredient assays, assist in repairs and maintenance of laboratory equipment, and maintain a clean work environment. Providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers, adhering to company policies and procedures, and ensuring regular and reliable attendance are essential components of this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lab Supervisor in organizing and maintaining quality control systems and audits.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting quality issues for the plant and quality team.
• Perform quality control tests and analyses.
• Interpret analytical findings to assess compliance with chemical standards and report findings to leadership.
• Perform all Quality Assurance Technician job duties and responsibilities.
• Communicate with contract customers regarding quality control issues.
• Develop and validate low-level active ingredient assays.
• Assist in repairs and maintenance of all laboratory equipment.
• Maintain a clean work environment both inside and outside the facility by using good housekeeping habits.
• Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned by the leader.
• Ensure regular and reliable attendance.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biology.
• Laboratory experience using gas chromatograph and HPLC.

The work environment for this position is in a typical plant, warehouse, and lab setting where the noise level is usually moderate to loud.

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
