What is the position? Evercore ISI seeks to hire a Research Associate for its Regional Banks and Specialty Finance equity research team located in New York, NY.
Primary Responsibilities: Ideal candidate will be proactive, high energy, and able to work effectively within a highly productive team. The candidate should possess excellent excel skills, knowledge of finance, and accounting and superior writing skills. A strong work ethic with the ability to learn quickly is essential. Candidates with a strong background in finance & accounting are encouraged to apply. Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Develop and update financial models efficiently
- Perform financial and valuation analysis of covered companies
- Execute proprietary research projects that generate impactful stock calls
- Assist with client requests & inquiries
- Idea generation
- Maintain databases and create tables and charts
- Participate in company management calls and conferences
- Track relevant news articles relaying important messages to the team
- Closely follow industry and economic data
Specific Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of Equity research experience is ideal
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); the job entails significant writing responsibilities
- Background in finance and accounting
- Strong modeling / excel capabilities
- Superior writing skills
- Interest in stocks
- Initiative, drive and motivation to learn
- Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish broader goals and objectives
- Capable of handling multiple responsibilities
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends when needed
- Detail-oriented

Expected Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $180,000
