Quality Control Technician/Inspector**

**Job Description:**

+ Assist all assigned manufacturing cells in solving quality problems.

+ Perform in-process audits for all assigned cells.

+ Audit assigned quality system procedures.

+ Act as the JIT quality control coordinator for these cells.

+ Inspect parts, sub-assemblies, and final products on demand.

+ Calculate and maintain SPC charts, supply new charts with control limits, and record calculated results.

**Requirements:**

Technical Knowledge, Education, Experience, and Training:

+ Use a wide range of universal measuring equipment such as vernier calipers, micrometers, go/no-go gauges, optical comparators, torque and force gauges, digital multimeters, and special electrical, electronic, and mechanical testers.

+ Perform required incoming inspections based on the quality history of receivables, necessary specifications, and check first piece, first article, in-process, and final products to ensure compliance with specifications.

+ Report internal conformance and nonconformance, ensure corrective actions are taken and monitored for effectiveness.

+ Maintain all required quality records.

+ Provide inspection advice and instruction to various personnel throughout the plant.

+ Act as JIT quality control coordinator for all assigned cells.

+ Perform quality management system procedure audits to ensure conformance to ISO 9001.

+ Complete all required reports on time and distribute them to all responsible parties.

+ Follow up on corrective actions for effectiveness.

+ Keep the senior quality engineer informed of all problems and the production manager when product stoppage may be involved.

+ Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.

+ Work with personnel from any unassigned area as necessary to resolve any quality-related problems or issues.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

**Education and/or Experience:**

+ Equivalent to high school education, plus two years of trade school or college, or an equivalent combination of education and two years of experience.

**Language Skills:**

+ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.

+ Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and inspection procedures.

+ Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from subordinates, peers, supervisors, suppliers, and customers.

**Mechanical Skills:**

+ Basic shop mathematics and geometric tolerance per ANSI Y14.5.

**Reasoning Ability:**

+ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a few variables in situations where limited standardization exists.

+ Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None required.

**Other Skills and Abilities:**

+ Experience with cause and effect diagrams with the addition of cards (CEDAC).

+ Attribute and variable statistical process control (SPC).

+ Proficiency in using a personal computer.

+ Excellent interpersonal skills to work with individuals at all levels.

+ Good written and verbal communication skills.

**Pay Range**

The hourly salary range for this position in local currency is 18.75- 34.88

**Is this role subject to ITAR?**
