Software Development Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Software Development Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Collierville, TN(Remote) . Responsibilities include designing and coding application components and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. Rate Range: $58/hour to $61/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Software Development Engineer job responsibilities include: Design, develop, and test application components using Java EE and IBM Sterling OMS, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver effective, warehouse-integrated solutions. Maintain and enhance existing applications, resolving issues and implementing improvements as needed. Mentor junior developers and contribute to team discussions by sharing expertise and proposing solutions. Apply best practices in coding and debugging, while staying current with industry trends and technologies. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 5-7 years of experience in software development, with a focus on IBM Sterling OMS and warehouse management systems. Intermediate proficiency in IBM Sterling OMS Functional and Technical components, with strong Java EE development skills.
