Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Task and project management, including planning and implementing environmental, health and safety (EHS) compliance projects, investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality control, client satisfaction, and profitability;
  • Prepare work plans, technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;
  • Data management, analysis/interpretation, and presentation, including preparing maps, boring logs, cross sections, figures, and conceptual site models;
  • Management and mentoring of junior staff;
  • Provide technical peer review of client deliverables and manage written document production;
  • Participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties;
  • Provide multi-media environmental compliance and health and safety compliance services
  • Conduct fieldwork including multi-media environmental sampling, site characterization oversight, drilling oversight, aquifer testing, borehole geophysics, and subcontractor oversight;
  • Direct multi-disciplinary project teams;
  • Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing, and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments;
  • Consistent with our sell-manage-do business model, play a key role in supporting business development, staff development, and mentoring; and
  • Help broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences.
  • Fieldwork: Up to 50%
  • Overnight travel: Up to 20%
Education and Licensure
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering (environmental, civil, chemical) earth science (geology or hydrology), or related field of study. (required)
  • Advanced degree in related field of study. (valuable)
  • Professional Registration (e.g., E.I.T./P.E./G.I.T./P.G./CHMM/CHP) or similar professional certification in your field. (valuable)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • At least 5 years (7+ desirable) of directly related environmental consulting experience in EHS compliance, site assessment and remediation projects; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Experience working in an environmental consulting, manufacturing or industrial EHS, or environmental department, with a working knowledge of industrial processes, and their impacts on the environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (valuable)
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental remediation and environmental, health and safety compliance. (required)
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
  • Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients. (preferred)
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, managing multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products. (required)
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
  • Current RCRA & DOT (preferred)
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
  • Valid U.S. drivers license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)

This opportunity will be posted for at least five days. Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntecs total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.

  • Minimum Salary: $85,000/year / Maximum Salary: $125,000/year
