Associate Product Development Scientist

Performs the technical design and development of new products from concept to implementation and improvement of existing products; coordinates transfer and scale-up activities in production; performs product and process troubleshooting and implements effective solutions; keeps organized and accurate records of all work.

Draft specifications for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. Contributes to continuous improvement by proposing enhancements to existing products and processes. Manages and maintains all item and formula data within relevant systems. Facilitates seamless project execution through effective inter-departmental communication and coordination. Actively participates in meetings, committees, and special assignments as required. Prepares benchtop product samples as needed for tasting and evaluation.

• Evaluates documentation of new and existing materials
• Document processes
• Reviews and analyzes QA data
• Manages and communicates project activities
• Submits proper documentation for label creation and regulatory compliance
• Maintains proper documentation and keeps accurate records of all work
• Works effectively with multiple departments to complete projects
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Knowledge in herbal and nutritional science preferred
• Experience managing multiple tasks
• Strong organizational skills
• BS in applicable science field, e.g., food science, nutritional science, chemistry, biology
