Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Variable Shift, Part Time

Performs Laboratory testing and/or prepares blood components. Maintains a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures. This knowledge includes the use of specialized analytical instrumentation, clinical correlation of test results, quality control requirements, and preventative maintenance. Supports the laboratory mission. Participates in the continuous quality improvement process through professional development, continuing education, research and development, and quality assurance. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Memorial Medical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values. The employee shall support Saddleback Memorial Medical Center's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the performance improvement plan.

Qualifications:

Experience

1-3 years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in an acute care hospital laboratory preferred.

Education

Current State of California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License required.
