We are looking for:

An Staff Scientist with strong theoretical and laboratory expertise to support product development for biobased materials for multiple markets.

We can count on you for:

+ Management of complex requests that may require new method development.

+ Efficient and accurate delivery of objectives in a high paced environment.

+ Communicating work plans and results with the rest of the analytical team.

+ Prioritization of the work flow taking into account customer needs

+ Perform routine and complex analyses of raw materials, in process, finished product, and stability samples

+ Implementing, validating and documenting analytical methods with strict attention to detail

+ Supporting instrument maintenance and repair.

You will bring:

+ Masters or PhD preferred in analytical chemistry or closely related field

+ Ability to plan and execute experiments, conduct data analysis, and communicate results to internal customers is required

+ Experience in isolation and purification of biobased materials (ie biosurfactants, proteins, oils) is required

+ Global knowledge of analytical techniques (NMR, HPLC, GC, MS, spectroscopy, wet chemistry) is required

+ Knowledge of organic chemistry, the ability to perform organic reactions/derivatization is a plus

+ Experience supporting application testing across multiple markets (hair/skin care, coatings, agriculture, home care..) is desired

+ Knowledge of degradation pathways, biodegradation mechanisms is a nice to have

You will get:

+ Competitive salary and benefits package.

+ The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $95,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.

+ 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations

+ Training platform for all employees

+ Free well-being sessions (physical and psychological)
