EMPLOYER:## St. Mary Medical Center, Inc. # JOB TITLE:#### Medical Laboratory Scientist - Medical Technologist (multiple openings) # LOCATION:### Hobart, IN# # DUTIES:# Perform all moderate and highly complex clinical procedures utilizing sophisticated instrumentation to obtain accurate laboratory test results for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.# Analyze and document a variety of microscopic, bacteriologic, immunohematologic and/or chemical diagnostic laboratory tests. Conduct advanced tests and lab utilization activities. Accountable for all tasks and responsibilities as designated by the CLIA rule and/or delegations made as a result (laboratory documentation delineates this specific information). Fulfill the expectation for the completion of all responsibilities as determined by the applicable CLIA role. May perform the duties of a Medical Laboratory Technician and a Laboratory Technologist, in addition to the expectations as a Medical Technologist. # REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor#s or foreign equivalent degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field. Also requires MT or MLS (ASCP or NCA) or equivalent certification or the ability to obtain such certification within 1 year of hire.
