As the brand is growing, so is our team! Egglife Foods is looking for a Quality Control Technician to join the Quality team, reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor. This position will focus on the day-to-day Quality and Food Safety of our product during production. The Quality Control Technician will perform checks and audits on the line, performing swabbing and inspections as scheduled, and will identify and report on any items of concern with regards to Safety, Food Safety, or Product Quality.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Quality Control Technician reports to the Quality Control Supervisor. This position will focus on the day-to-day Quality and Food Safety of our product during production. The Quality Control Technician will perform checks and audits on the line, performing swabbing and inspections as scheduled, and will identify and report on any items of concern with regards to Safety, Food Safety, or Product Quality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (non-exclusive list):
Working day-to-day with the Quality Control Supervisor and Quality Control Manager:
- Read, follow, and understand product formulas, specifications, work instructions, and operating standards.
- Write legibly, maintain clear and organized digital records, maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Review and recognize that operators on the line are operating to standards.
- Understand, execute, teach, and audit all of the Quality & Food Safety policies and procedures.
- Understand SPC Systems and use that knowledge in practical applications.
- Ensure that all product meets Quality & Food Safety Standards.
- Understand all of the quality testing equipment, parameters, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Understand all FDA, FSMA, and SQF requirements and the documentation to ensure compliance.
- Understand the Tech's role in achieving business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Work with individuals and teams, including training and conflict management.
- Speak to individuals and crowds comfortably.
- Follow all Food Safety & Employee Safety rules.
- Follow directions and process information independently to ensure constant process compliance.
- Able to come to work on time every day.
- Alert the appropriate leader of urgent or emergency situations requiring immediate attention.
- Operate daily with a high standard of unquestionable integrity and consistency.
- Take ownership of the Quality and Food Safety of the Product.
- Perform other Duties as Assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- 1-3 Years of Food Manufacturing experience.
- 1-2 Years of Quality Assurance experience.
- Capable of using a tablet or computer to operate plant quality software.
- Capable of basic data entry and reporting using Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to wear PPE as required to protect the product and employee.
- High school diploma or Associates Degree.
- Track record of consistently delivering results and following detailed instructions.
- Be available to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and other shifts as required.
- Must be able to lead by example and speak up when conditions are out of compliance.
- Must be able to independently manage their time depending on a variable daily schedule
- Comfortable and able to succeed in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills.
- Current Employee Attendance Requirement for Bid: 2 or Fewer Attendance Points
