Position Title: Sr. Research Associate - Biology - Immuno Oncology

Work Location: Foster City, CA 94404

Assignment Duration: 06 Months

Position Summary: We are looking for a motivated bioinformatics contractor to join client's research data science team to support research oncology projects.

Background & Context:

The candidate will support research oncology projects at our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Programming and troubleshooting of bioinformatics analysis workflow.

Performing the analysis of multiple high-throughput omics data sets, including scRNASeq, TCR-Seq, WES, ATAC-Seq, and proteomics.

Performing biological signatures and pathways analysis.

Curation of gene signatures and pathways from literature or public domains.

Other bioinformatics analysis in support of research oncology projects assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

The ideal candidate should have an advanced degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, computer sciences, or closely related fields.

Prior working experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is preferred.

The candidate should have fundamental knowledge in cancer biology and immunology.

The candidate should have general knowledge of statistical analysis.

Strong programming skills such as R, Perl, or Python.

Experience with open-source bioinformatics tools and packages to analyze large omics data, e.g., TCGA, GTEx, CCLE DepMap, is required.

The candidate will also be able to work semi-independently and possess effective communication skills, proactive working attitude, and a strong work ethic.
