**Job Summary and Qualifications**
The Medical Lab Technician conducts routine and complex laboratory tests in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and/or microbiology for use in patient diagnosis and treatment of disease. Come join our team of dedicated professionals that is committed to delivering the best patient care.
**What You Will Do In This Role:**
+ You will perform chemical, bacteriological, serological and microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections.
+ You will produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology and other areas as designated.
+ You will maintain quality results by running standards and controls, calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures, verifying equipment function through routine maintenance and monitoring quality control measures and protocols.
**What qualifications you will need:**
+ Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification (ASCP or AMT) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
+ Associate Degree
+ At least one year hospital experience is preferred
We serve Parker County and surrounding communities. Our medical staff represents 30+ medical specialties. Our health care services include inpatient and outpatient care, medical-surgical and emergency care. We are a designated Comprehensive (Level II) Stroke Facility and Level IV Trauma Center.
