### Position Summary
The Plant Laboratory Technician conducts daily qualitycontrol tests on fermentation samples, finished ethanol, feed byproducts, and reclaimed water. The role maintains calibrated lab instruments, documents results in LIMS, and works closely with operations to ensure all products meet internal and regulatory specifications.

Key Responsibilities
Collect inprocess and finishedproduct samples according to SOPs.
Perform wetchemistry and instrumental analyses (GC, density meter, pH, moisture, protein).
Interpret results and immediately communicate outofspec findings to production staff.
Calibrate and maintain lab equipment; manage reagent and consumable inventories.
Enter test data into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and generate COAs.
Support HACCP/GMP paperwork and assist during internal and external audits.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in Chemical Technology, Biology, or related field.
**1-3 years** industrial or academic laboratory experience.
Familiarity with basic analytical techniques (titration, spectroscopy, chromatography).
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and electronic data entry.
### Preferred Qualifications
Experience in biofuels, food, or beverage QC labs.
Knowledge of ASTM D4806/D4815 ethanol specifications.
ISO 9001 or GMP documentation experience.

Primarily laboratory environment; occasional plantfloor sampling requiring PPE.
Repetitive pipetting, standing for extended periods, handling of chemicals.

Compensation and Benefits
**Hourly Pay:** $26 - $28/hr (DOE) + annual performance bonus.
