We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our growing team in Wilmington, DE . This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate on vital research and development, manufacturing, and business projects. The successful candidate will leverage statistics and data science to support various initiatives within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal clients on research and development, manufacturing, and business activities.
Contribute to new product development and enhance existing products through data analysis.
Implement continuous improvement processes in manufacturing and operational efficiency.
Develop demand and sales forecasts using statistical methodologies.
Optimize supply chain processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Identify and leverage marketing and sales opportunities through data insights.
Conduct product testing in field applications and analyze results.
Design and implement machine learning algorithms and models for predictive analysis.
Manage the full lifecycle of data science applications from conceptualization to product development.
Present data analysis results effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data science and machine learning.
Qualifications:
PhD degree or a Masters degree with at least 2 years of experience in a science or engineering technical field.
Strong coding skills in R or Python, with a focus on data preparation, regression, and visualization.
Formal education in statistics, including regression analysis and hypothesis testing.
Solid background in machine learning and deep learning techniques, particularly in clustering, classification, and supervised learning methodologies (e.g., random forest, xgboost).
Proficiency in working with large language models (LLMs) and experience in developing Generative AI technologies.
Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP), ontology, knowledge graphs, and advanced retrieval techniques.
Experience in SQL database queries and data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI).
Ability to autonomously develop algorithms and applications using data science tools including data wrangling, clustering, outlier removal, predictive modeling, optimization, and time series forecasting.
Excellent self-learning abilities with a keen interest in keeping abreast of industry advances.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
