Job Description

Contract Associate Scientist - Genomics for iPSC and T Cell Engineering

Education:

Bachelor's (BS) or Master's (MS) degree in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.

Role Requirements:

Demonstrated proficiency in molecular and genomic techniques such as RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, and NGS library preparation.

Familiarity with genome editing tools like CRISPR/Cas9.

Basic understanding of stem cell biology and T cell biology.

Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ONP sequencing platforms.

Experience with computational tools for data analysis (e.g., Python/R, IGV, etc.).

Previous experience in an industrial or biotechnology setting.

Description:

The Cell Therapy Department is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to join our team.

The ideal candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research efforts by performing genomic analyses, NGS molecular profiling, and supporting genome editing projects.

This role will interface with a multidisciplinary team of scientists focused on developing innovative therapies and enhancing our understanding of cellular engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform genomics-based experiments, including but not limited to qPCR, ddPCR, NGS amplicon sequencing, RNA-seq, and ATAC-seq to characterize genome engineering method development in iPSCs and T cells.

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment related to genomics workflows, including sequencers and automated liquid handling systems.

Generate high-quality data by following established protocols, ensuring accuracy, reproducibility, and reliable documentation.

Maintain organization of samples, reagents, and data in electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs) and shared databases.

Analyze and interpret experimental data, summarize findings, and present results to internal stakeholders.

Proactively engage in troubleshooting experimental issues and contribute innovative ideas for improving workflow efficiency and protocols.
