Would prefer a Medical Lab Technician, but a Medical Lab Scientist can also be hired.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
Must have a BS degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science; or in Clinical Lab Science from an accredited college or technical program
Must be board-certified in Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCP or NCA) AND must be licensed in the State of Montana to practice Clinical Laboratory Science
Must have good phlebotomy skills
Minimum of two (2) years of laboratory training or experience is desired
Ability to organize, plan and implement new ideas and programs
Must be familiar and have knowledge of state and federal laboratory regulations
Must be able to write legibly and document accurately on patient records
Must have good communication skills and have patience and tact when working with patients, medical providers and staff members
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Collects specimens from CAH, including long-term care and out-patients for laboratory testing
Processes specimens
Performs laboratory testing according to established laboratory methods outlined in facility laboratory policies and procedures
Performs and analyzes quality control testing, proficiency testing, periodic maintenance and making appropriate decisions
Receives requisitions and communicates results to medical providers and nurses
Full-time position.
Wage will depend on experience.
