We are currently seeking an experienced Analytical Chemist to join our amazing team. Position Description Support product development activities for client-based projects, ranging from preclinical to commercialization with minimal supervision. Develop, optimize, transfer, and validate analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products (HPLC/UPLC, UV-Vis, FTIR, dissolution, XRD, Karl Fischer), including drafting, reviewing and executing analytical methods, protocols, and reports. This may include creating phase-appropriate strategies for client-defined product development projects. Design, execute, interpret and review experiments to support formulation development, process development, and stability studies. Interfaces with cross-department development teams, including participating in and presenting at client project updates. Uses knowledge and abilities to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that affect the technical scope. Able to recognize and communicate key issues likely to affect successful or timely completion and recommend appropriate solutions. Authors analytical sections of development reports and technical summaries. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g., GMP, GLP, ICH guidelines), including documenting analytical procedures and results. Operate and maintain analytical equipment including coordination with external maintenance providers. Participates in continuous improvement efforts for analytical laboratory procedures and practices. Supports the generation of regulatory documents. Mentors and trains junior analytical chemists. Effectively manages workload according to company and departmental priorities. Maintains a clean and organized working environment. As needed, supports GMP operations in performing in-process, release, and stability testing of manufactured material and raw materials. All other duties as assigned. Competencies To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Proficient in chemical analysis and testing methodologies; specifically, HPLC/UPLC, FTIR, dissolution, and Karl Fischer. Proficient in advanced analytical techniques such as method development or fundamentals research. Proficient with analytical method development, validation, and transfers. Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills. Computer skills: Microsoft Office package and basic computer skills facilitating assimilation of various software packages associated with analytical equipment. Strong data and statistical analysis skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and documentation skills required. Strong multi-tasking skills. Works well in a team environment. Requirements Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related discipline with relevant work experience. 5-7 years of pharmaceutical analytical experience.
