Job Description

Join a pioneering leader in the catalytic converter and non-ferrous metals recycling industry. We seek a Laboratory Technician with expertise in data collection and interpretation to perform routine chemical testing of samples in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Document each sample accurately and thoroughly.
• Follow established written procedures.
• Maintain, calibrate, and operate analytical instruments including XRF and ICP.
• Prepare chemical solutions used in testing, utilizing analytical balances, pipettes, and volumetric glassware.
• Clean and maintain laboratory glassware.
• Keep workspaces clean, safe, and organized.
• Track and manage laboratory inventory.
• Familiarize and adhere to lab safety and good laboratory practices.
• Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and best practices.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in chemistry and laboratory procedures.
• Experience with analytical instruments such as XRF and ICP.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree highly preferred in a Science-related field, such as Biology, Physics, or Chemistry.
• Associate degree acceptable with adjusted compensation.

Work Environment

The work environment is an industrial laboratory with a small, close-knit team. The lab consists of one other Lab Technician and two Samplers, and the role reports to the CTO. The culture is laid-back, requiring candidates to be self-motivated and comfortable working independently. The atmosphere is casual and the company is family-owned.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
